Summary:

Chess boxing is a new hybrid sport that combines various elements of chess and boxing into a challenging battle of wills. Though a relatively new game, chess boxing is gradually gaining popularity throughout the world. Introduced by Iepe Rubingh in its modern form, it was initially conceived by James and Stewart Robinson in Greenwich, England, in 1973. In a dramatic yet uniquely paced display of brawn and brains, players go through alternate rounds of chess and boxing for a total of eleven rounds or until one player wins.
